Ironing...

Ironing would have to be my least favourite task but today I tackled it. Two hours later my ironing area looked like this (sorry I forgot tot ake the before shot!). I loaded up my ipod with some boppy dance type music and danced my way through the piles! Try it yourself, it certainly made the time pass faster and I also got to listen to a few of my favourite tunes! I keep smiling as I walk past the empty space! Do you have a task that you really don't enjoy?

Yep, I am afraid, ironing is on top of my hate list too! Every now and then I keep on top of it, and I don't mind it so much, but then it starts building up again, and woe is me, I am NOT going to pay for an ironing lady, you have inspired me to get it done this week!!

Oh, the thrill of the empty clothes basket. LOL I'm another who doesn't like ironing at all. I do mine on Sunday mornings as I watch 'Sunday'.

Lisa, I tried to email you but your email link isn't working. Would you email me please. Thanks.

Great idea with the ipod. I can never be bothered dragging the ironing board out of the laundry to watch TV while I iron - but the ipod I could take with me. :-)

I hate ironing, cleaning the oven, and cleaning shower recesses.

Seems I am not alone Ladies! Thank you all for your thoughts. My aim for this month is to try and keep on top of the ironing and not let it pile up again!
Kate - I also hate cleaning the oven!

I don't mind ironing, although I really try to minimise what I iron. Sometimes it's an indulgence for me to put on a DVD series, such as Seachange, and watch while I iron.
It's a lovely feeling to have it all up to date.

I'm an ironing hater, too. My mother, however, loves to iron. She even irons my father's underwear, her sheets (she has a king sized bed), all her clothes, and all pillowcases. She said she would iron her socks if it were possible! She has asked if I want her to do our ironing, but I can't make a 70 year old woman iron even more! LOL! It's just not "healthy" to like ironing to that level. :o)
Washing the shower and the shower doors is another one I dislike.
My favorite chore is washing and folding laundry... aaaah, the smell of clean, warm laundry....

So glad to see I am not alone :)
Busy - I too try to do as little ironing as possible, but since most of us have "uniforms" it is hard to control which fabrics they are made from!
Heather - Freshly laundered washing is one of my favourite smells too!
